Chop-chop body found in suitcase

Chop-chop body found in suitcase – Tempo News!

A taxi driver found the butchered remains of a woman inside a suitcase left by a female passenger in his trunk before dawn yesterday, police said.

The naked body has missing head and arms and its skin appeared to have been scalded by boiling liquid. It was covered by a pile of clothes and underwear, Police Officer 2 Leonilo Pasco, officer-on-case, said.

Quoting the taxi driver, Edito Sapitin, Pasco said that at around 2:35 p.m., he picked up a woman passenger in Project 8 and brought her to the Centennial Terminal of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

The passenger, who spoke with an Ilonggo accent, had several pieces of luggage, some of which were loaded in the backseat while the rest were placed inside the trunk, Pasco said.

It was only when he was driving along Katipunan Avenue did Sapitin discover that the passenger left a suitcase in the trunk, Pasco said.

When Sapitin discovered the mutilated corpse, he immediately drove to the ABC taxi garage along Commonwealth Avenue and called up the police.

“We are conducting follow-up operations to arrest the suspect in the case,” said Senior Superintendent Roger James Brillantes, Quezon City Police District-District Intelligence and Investigation Division (QCPD-DIID) chief.
