Caloocan fire leaves 300 families homeless

Fire gutted a residential area in Monumento, Caloocan Tuesday noon, leaving some 300 families homeless.

Witnesses said the blaze ould have started from a pumping station near Natividad Street and spread to nearby houses in Barangay 81. It was put out around 1:30 p.m. after reaching the fifth alarm.

There were no reported casualties in the incident.

Barangay chairman Letty Maturan said officials have yet to decide where to relocate the affected families.
