Guimaras included in Unicef funded survey: statistics office

THE Province of Guimaras is included among the 19 provinces and five cities in the country in the Sub-Regional Multiple Indicator Cluster Survey (SR-MICS) being conducted by the National Statistics Office (NSO).
NSO Iloilo and Guimaras Provincial Statistician Nelida Amolar said that SR-MICS started last February 12 and will end on March 2, 2007. Aside from Guimaras, other provinces in Western Visayas covered by this survey are Capiz and Antique.
Amolar said the three provinces are among the identified areas in the country for the Sixth Country Programme for Children (CPC-6) being implemented by the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef).
