MALACANANG said the appropriate body would look into the offer of Asia’s Emerging Dragon Corporation (AEDC) to pay the government US$375 million to allow them to operate and complete the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3.
Press Secretary Ignacio Bunye said the government has already “taken note” of the offer and it would be “studied at the professional level to assess the pros and cons.”
Bunye, who is also Presidential spokesman, also said they welcome AEDC’s offer as it shows that there is a growing confidence on the Philippine economy.
He said the government is determined to open Naia 3 “at the soonest time possible, regardless of the decision on AEDC’s offer.”
