Plant chief: Angat dam needs 20 more days of rain

The plant manager of the Angat Dam in Norzagaray, Bulacan said the reservoir needs up to 20 days of continuous rain to normalize its water level, ABS-CBN News reported.

Rodolfo German said that despite the rains since Tuesday, the dam’s water level has risen only one meter: from 170.1 to 172.1 Wednesday.

He said that with this rate of increase, it would take another 20 days for the dam to reach the normal level of 180 meters.

It was learned that as of Wednesday afternoon, waterflow to the Ipo and Bustos dams had to be stopped because the two reservoirs were already overflowing.
