Trillanes group to face ‘harshest penalties of law’–Arroyo

MANILA, Philippines — Calling them “desperate,” President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo on Friday said the band of Senator Antonio Trillanes IV who seized a luxury hotel in Makati would be dealt with the harshest penalties of law.

At the same time, Arroyo said that after Thursday’s six-hour standoff at the Manila Peninsula hotel, the country was again “stable and peaceful.”
