Military court finds 5 Magdalo men guilty
A military court martial on Tuesday found five Magdalo soldiers guilty of charges in connection with the short-lived Oakwood mutiny in July 2003. The court also ordered the Army to discharge of Lieutenants Lawrence San Juan, Sonny Bumidang and Nathaniel Rabonza.
The military court presided by Brig. Gen. Nathaniel Legaspi found the three guilty of violating Article of War 96 or conduct unbecoming an officer and a gentleman.

HELSINKI — A Finnish court on Monday ruled a man had intentionally transmitted HIV, the virus that causes AIDS, to five women and had unprotected sex with least 14 others, exposing them to possible infection.

Gov’t, Lopezes in battle for control of Meralco

A battle for control of the country’s biggest electricity distributor is brewing in the run up to the May 27 annual stockholders meeting of Manila Electric Co. (Meralco).
The contending parties are the pension fund Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), which leads the pack of government-owned corporations and government financial institutions that now have four seats in the 11-man board, and the legacy owners, the Lopez family, whose aggregate stake allows them five seats in the board.
