Metro cops full alert for possible spillover of Mindanao clashes

The Philippine National Police (PNP) placed its forces in Metro Manila on full alert due to the possibility of a spillover of the latest conflict in Mindanao.

Chief Superintendent Nicanor Bartolome, PNP spokesman, said the full alert status was activated as of 8 a.m. He said additional police personnel were automatically deployed to secure vital installations around the capital region.
